This weekend was soo cold, but it didn’t stop us from getting stuff done. Edward had to work on Saturday, but we still had a chance to sneak some time to take the kids to the Children’s Museum. I thought it was a good idea because it’s indoors. Both of the kids loved it. Adan really liked pretending he was baking. He would put on his baking mitts and take stuff out from the toy oven because it was “hot”. Christy enjoyed pushing a toy cart all around the museum. It was so cute. She had toy groceries inside the cart and she had a blast just walking around.

Yesterday, we bought some lights to put outside the apartment. It looks like we miscalculated and need to buy more lights. So far, though, it’s looking good! I’m glad we are putting some decorations outside. It looked a little sad that our apartment wasn’t decorated when our neighbors did have some stuff out. Obviously, the kids love the lights.

We went over to my parents’ house yesterday. My mom goes ALL OUT for Christmas every year. I only have 1 tote for our Christmas decorations. My mom has to have at least 15 or 20 of them full of decorations, from ornaments to stockings for everyone in our family to snow globes to Christmas frames. The kids absolutely loved seeing all of the stuff. My mom had a toy train set up around the Christmas tree and Adan loved watching it go in circles.

I’ve made a mental note to take the kids to my parents’ house more often this month.
